Taylor Design Helps Young Adults Find Their Turning Point

Taylor Design of Stamford CT has created an award-winning website to help young adults in Connecticut who are struggling with mental illness. TurningPointCT.org was commissioned by Connecticut’s Southwest Regional Mental Health Board and the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The challenge was to create a youth-oriented, information-rich site to guide young adults in finding the help they need to feel good about themselves and their future. Youthful and engaging, reassuring and user-friendly, the site has already recorded more than 22,000 pageviews. Dan Taylor notes that the scope of the project included naming, logo design, website design and development, and illustration.

The site includes a user-moderated discussion form that helps visitors connect with others battling mental illness, and an interactive decision module directs visitors to treatment models, community support organizations, and state and national resources. Indeed, Margaret Watt, executive director of the Southwest Regional Mental Health Board states: “TurningPointCT.org is extremely attractive and compelling. We receive rave reviews on its look and it exceeds all our expectations in terms of usability.
