In celebration of World Pride month, Bud Light is releasing rainbow-colored aluminum bottles. The beer maker has also pledged to donate $1 from every case — up to $150,000 — sold between May 27th to June 30th to GLAAD, the high-profile LGBTQ advocacy organization. The bottle design marks the latest effort in a 20-year partnership between the two organizations and will debut at the GLAAD Media Awards before being available nationwide. In addition to the Pride flag inspired color scheme, the Bud Light creed that’s printed on the crest of the bottle was switched out for a message of support and inclusivity. “The way we see it, our beer is for everyone to enjoy, so we are looking forward to seeing Pride bottles at bars throughout the month of June and beyond,” said Andy Goeler, Vice President of Marketing for Bud Light. “With the release of these new bottles, we hope to create something that everyone can feel proud to hold during Pride month that also makes a positive impact for GLAAD’s initiatives and the LGBTQ+ community overall.” Pride Month is celebrated every June in commemoration of the Stonewall Riots, a watershed event for the gay rights movement.
