Drawing Inspiration From Iconic Tattoo
R/GA’s latest design work is a brand refresh for ZOA Energy, founded and formulated by Dwayne Johnson (“The Rock”) and his business partners Dany Garcia, Dave Rienzi, and John Shulman. The visual and verbal identity system includes everything from updated packaging design to the brand’s new “Fuel Something Bigger” creative messaging platform.
R/GA worked closely with Dwayne Johnson and the founding partners to evolve the logo, where R/GA drew inspiration from the movie star’s iconic tattoo, a Polynesian symbology that represents the mana that lives at the center of all energy and passion and infused it as an integral part of educating customers on the formula behind the brand. A new brand voice evolved to represent the strength and confidence ZOA’s positive energy offers. This is reflected across the website, the new can, and packaging designs — all of which are available for purchase on zoaenergy.com and the ZOA Amazon brand store.
