California design firm Strohl has created the brand positioning, strategy and identity — as well as signage, instore graphics, collateral, menus, and package design – for a new fried chicken restaurant that features healthier and sustainably raised fast food.
The Starbird mark, say principals Eric and Christine Strohl, “straddles a fine line between a clean, modern aesthetic and a fun, approachable experience.”
The logo evokes chicken and egg, and accompanying typography is clean and direct. With pre-ordering and curbside delivery a key component of the service experience, takeaway packaging carries the same “less-is-more” aesthetic. The client is The Culinary Edge, a food strategy firm that came up with the concept for a healthy fried chicken company.
