Asha Alaji-Sharif

HOWARD UNIVERSITY

Asha Alaji-Sharif is a content creator, media personality and YouTuber. She has been very involved both on and off campus. During her freshman year, she was captain of the Quad Dance Team as well as an office intern for Anthony Hairston of the Cleveland City Council. As a sophomore, she served as videographer for the Undergraduate Student Association, and released a documentary entitled The New Black. She is currently a culture writer for the Hilltop student-led magazine, Vice Editor in Chief of The Premiere Magazine, and volunteers weekly at the Howard Middle School. On her YouTube channel (“Asha the Magnificent”) she speaks about her life experiences and controversial topics such as colorism and hardships faced as a minority. She aspires to be a magazine editor and plans to found a school for special needs students to learn visual and performing arts.
