SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF DESIGN
Fatima is a senior studying communication design and minoring in psychology. Her design journey started with her high school counselor recommending the design program her senior year. The concept was foreign to Fatima, she was just her school’s popular illustrator. Her first design class in college was intimidating, she found herself suddenly in an unfamiliar space far away from home. As painful as the process was, she kept coming back for more. Fatima has now grown to love branding and editorial design. She became VP of the School of Design AIGA. Fatima loves spending her time dancing to Korean pop, playing video games, and wondering why she spends all her money at Starbucks. She enjoys walking around the city enjoying the view and contemplating the bad design prints she would come across along the way.
