Debbie Millman Curates Text Me Exhibition At MODA

Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) is host to Text Me: How We Live in Language which runs from September 17 – February 4. Curated by Debbie Millman, the exhibition explores the idea that typographic expression is the primary means by which we communicate and connect with one another. “As far back as the cave men,” states MODA, “our ancestors used symbols to document and record experiences. Today, we use typography to visualize our personal stories across a wide variety of media in nearly every moment of our lives, from social networking to tattoos to way-finding signage to fine art, fast moving consumer goods, clothing, household goods and decoration.”
