MOD, PHILADELPHIA PA
Danielle art directs and designs at MOD, a branding agency located in Center City Philadelphia. She has been creating designs for over a decade after graduating with a BFA in Visual Communications from the University of Delaware. Her career started as an inhouse designer at The Philadelphia Foundation working on print, branding and social media campaigns. In 2015, she moved across the country to her favorite city, San Francisco, where she worked at two different branding studios and gained experience in an agency setting. From Philly to San Francisco and in-between, Danielle has reinvented many brands – from high-rise condominiums in Los Angeles to a Napa Valley winery. It was there that she picked up her eye for visual clarity and minimal aesthetic, pushing brands to strengthen their human experience with simple and strong messaging. Today at MOD, she thrives on balancing the daily agency lifestyle with her passion for interior design, typography and dogs in the workplace. Her work encompasses print to package to web and she thoroughly enjoys working in all mediums.
THE FUTURE OF THE GRAPHIC DESIGN BUSINESS?
Graphic design has made its way into our daily lives, constantly changing to keep up with the evolution of technology. First used to entice consumers with a “pretty picture,” graphic design now has many purposes, from user experience to accessibility. Whether it’s an electronic digital display or signage in a building to help with wayfinding, graphic design is ultimately used to assist people and make their lives easier. As technology plays a bigger role in the way we communicate, design continue to do so as well. Emerging technology, like augmented reality and 3D printing, will be implemented more as design evolves alongside popular preferences.
