Mika Owens joined Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv as a designer in 2013, after 10 years of experience in graphic and environmental graphic design. While working at the firm, she has contributed work for identity design projects such as Barnes & Noble, the British Virgin Islands, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Tecnológico de Monterrey, RatPac Entertainment, CCL Industries, Nedra Publishing, Wolf Entertainment, Animal Planet, Mercy For Animals, Pew Research Center, Hitco Entertainment, Apollo Global Management, ClearMotion, Dominion Energy, and others, as well as managing production for projects from book layouts to poster creation. Together with partners Sagi Haviv and Tom Geismar, she co-teaches a class on identity design at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Mika graduated cum laude with a BS and MA in Visual Communication Design from Kent State University, where she also studied architecture, which informs her environmental graphics work. While at Kent State, she taught classes in typography and corporate identity. Prior to joining the firm, she was a designer at C&G Partners, working on projects for Yankee Stadium, Major League Baseball, Smithsonian Institution, and the World Trade Center Memorial and Plaza.
