Sophia Lee is a midwest based graphic designer and illustrator who operates her own studio and business, Ren-O-Graphics. She hopes to connect with people about the human experience through her retro-inspired eclectic, playful, and heartfelt designs. In addition to her own design work, she also offers freelance design services. After she completes her BFA in Graphic Design this spring, she plans on continuing developing her personal style and pursuing her love for design through her own practice and freelance clients.
WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL INSPIRED?
I am inspired by vintage valentines, American traditional flash tattoos, 80’s print advertisements, Riot Grrrl zines, antique mall wares, and metal band logos.
WHAT AREA OR AREAS OF DESIGN ARE YOU HOPING TO WORK IN?
I am interested in illustration, poster design, merchandise, and packaging.
WHAT IS ONE THING YOUR TIME IN DESIGN SCHOOL HAS TAUGHT YOU THAT YOU DIDN’T EXPECT?
Design school has taught me to trust myself and to pursue my personal goals and ambitions.

I love the work of Julia Fletcher, Addeline Griswold, and Barbara Kruger.
WHAT ARE YOU READING/LISTENING TO/WATCHING?
I am watching A24 movies and the Sopranos. I am listening to midwest emo, 2010’s Grimes, Mazzy Star, Alex G, and new wave.
